Different from Wealth Managers

As different as chalk and cheese

Wealth managers Multi Family Office
The business model of most Wealth Managers is predicated on earning commissions when they sell you products. As such, they have a vested interest in selling you a particular product We operate on a fee and profit share model. As such, our incentives are aligned with you. We serve as “gatekeepers” or discerning buyers of securities, as opposed to brokers/sellers
Wealth Managers work with a generalised and mass market approach Our approach entails deep, highly customised interaction with a select number of individuals/families to create customised investment strategies that will fulfil their financial goals
With Wealth managers your interaction is principally at the Relationship Manager level We employ no Relationship Managers. With us, you deal only at a Principal to Principal level
With Wealth Managers, your involvement is typically restricted to approving purchase of a security. With us, families can choose the level of involvement they would like to have in context of building and managing the investment portfolio
Wealth managers offer portfolio tracking and basic level reporting We provide detailed and incisive reporting and analytics. We deconstruct sources of performance e.g. Asset Allocation v/s Security Selection.
Product knowledge typically resides at the highest level of a Wealth Management firm. However, investors typically deal primarily with Relationship Managers - many of whom have very limited knowledge of the product, and are incentivized to sell it High-calibre team of analysts with deep domain knowledge and expertise, with no interest in selling a product
